Universal Extractor is a program used for (and only for) decompressing common file archive formats. It is currently able to extract the data from self-extracting EXE files, Installers, ZIP and Rar files and a very long list of others.
The strong point of Universal Extractor is actually not much more than being able to decompress an amazingly long list of different formats. It was never intended to be able to create the types of files it decompresses and according to the developer, it never will.
However, if you have a compressed file in the format of files like (.hlp, .exe, .lzo, .chm, .nrg, .rpm, .uha, .ace and countless others), this is definitely the software solution for you. Did we mention its free? Yes, it is also available with the full source code.
This tool serves to unpack.scs-archives. Supported games: American Truck Simulator; Euro Truck Simulator 2; Scania Truck Driving Simulator. It works on Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows Server 2003/2008, and Windows 7. Also have a look at LoadScout, an awesome app that allows users to browse and extract any specific content inside the archive file without actually downloading the whole file.
According to the developer: The original motivation behind this project was to create an easy, convenient way to extract files from various types of installation packages without the need to remember arcane command line switches or track down separate utilities to handle the unpacking.

Universal Extractor 1.6.1 is available to all software users as a free download for Windows 10 PCs but also without a hitch on Windows 7 and Windows 8.
