  • Ok, so this is a known problem. Instead of using the image provided by virtualbox you should just download it trough aptitute sudo apt-get install virtualbox-guest-dkms and if you need the headers download this sudo apt-get install linux-headers-virtual instead of the classic sudo apt-get install linux-headers-$(uname -r).
  • Could not mount the media/drive ‘C: Program Files Oracle VirtualBox VBoxGuestAdditions.iso’ (VERRPDMMEDIALOCKED). Could not mount the media (圖源:ITLife) 對,這就是2小時前.

A very easy way that I discovered to fix VERRPDMMEDIALOCKED for guest additions with a ubuntu guest and windows 10 host is: Shut down (not save state) your virtualbox; Right-click on your machine in the virtualbox manager - settings; Click on storage; Right-click on the cd drive and 'remove attachment'.
